Hi, I’m Amy. A little about me, my journey and how this all came to be….
After my son was born (about 8 years ago), I experienced some health problems that manifested both physically and emotionally. I had just about every “western medicine” test that could potentially apply to the myriad of symptoms I was having, and every test came back “normal”. But, I felt so far from “normal” (marginally functional at best). My doctor advised me to start taking anxiety medication. With an extremely sensitive system and additional/different side effects resulting from the medication, I realized that masking the symptoms with medication was not the answer for me. I began to explore other avenues that might provide some insight into what my body was telling me, and what I could do to regain my health and re-connect with my wellness. And my personal journey began. Since then, I have experimented with various holistic practices and embraced (as part of my lifestyle) those that resonated with me personally. As a result, I learned about the many healing aspects of yoga, meditation, ayurveda, nutrition & supplementation, detoxification, chiropractic, acupuncture, reiki, energy medicine, and holistic health in general. The most profound thing I’ve learned in my journey thus far is the impact of the energetic body as it relates to the overall well-being of the physical body. If the spiritual and energetic bodies are out of balance (or blocked), the physical body will suffer – regardless of nutrition, supplementation or physical activity level. You have to re-connect with your soul and “inherent wholeness” before you can heal the physical body. I have personally found that energy work and meditation (combined) are amazing modalities to assist with removing the “stories” that can dominate our lives, mask who we really are and what we are meant to be doing with our lives, and hide our natural gifts that are meant to be shared with the world. In a nutshell, it’s all about balance for the mind, body and spirit. Every aspect of life impacts the connection between and the balance of those three things – your relationships, career choice and associated stress, finances, health, nutrition, priorities, etc. I am a self-proclaimed “holistic health junkie” (by no means I am, or will I ever be, a “purist”), on a mission to share my passion for addressing the root cause of physical and emotional issues, rather than popping pills to treat symptoms and looking for a quick fix and “one size fits all” solution to restoring and maintaining health. My truest passion lies within the Reiki and energy work realm, because I truly believe that when you work on healing the soul, you can tap into healing the physical body.

Everyone has their own story, and everyone is on their own journey in terms of physical and emotional health and wellness. What works for one person may not work for another. Priorities, busy schedules, lifestyles, food allergies or sensitivities, environmental allergies, chronic conditions, physical limitations, fitness levels, stress levels, emotional health, personal relationships, financial situations, and spiritual beliefs all play a role in overall health and well-being. That said, one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to health. Health is a choice, a right, and a gift. Everyone deserves a chance to be educated about holistic wellness modalities, explore options that resonate with them, and take advantage of synergies that can lead to restored health and increased vitality. With that as a guiding principle, I began my journey in this space…

I am a 200 hour certified yoga instructor, with a focus on Hatha yoga, vinysasa flow, breath work, and meditation. I am also a Master Level Reiki Practitioner and Teacher, and also enjoy providing energy therapy for cancer patients through LifeSpark. I continue to dabble in the holistic health area almost daily, reading anything that comes my way. Oh, and I have a wonderful husband, a daughter, and a son who keep me very busy and bring great joy to my life.
